Glycolic Acid is a naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane and also produced synthetically for cosmetic use. It has the smallest molecular size among AHAs, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the skin.

In cosmetics, Glycolic Acid is valued for:

Works well with Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, and botanical extracts

Avoid combining with strong retinoids or high concentrations of Vitamin C in the same formula to minimize irritation
