Cationic Guar Gum

Cationic Guar Gum is a conditioning polymer derived from the natural guar plant. It carries a positive charge (cationic) which allows it to bond to the negatively charged surface of hair and skin. It enhances slip, softness, conditioning, and detangling in haircare, while also improving thickness, stability, and skin feel in body care.

Commonly used in shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, leave-ins, body washes, and lotions.

Usage Rate

0.1% – 0.5% for conditioning in shampoos

0.3% – 1% for conditioners, masks, and leave-ins
