Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMWHA) is a highly effective humectant derived from hyaluronic acid that penetrates deeper into the skin compared to high molecular weight grades. It helps attract and retain moisture within the skin, improving hydration, elasticity, smoothness, and overall skin appearance.

Due to its smaller molecular size, Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid provides intensive hydration beneath the skin’s surface, making it an excellent ingredient for anti-aging, dry skin, dehydrated skin, and skin-repair formulations.

It is widely used in facial serums, moisturizers, anti-aging creams, hydrating toners, sheet masks, eye treatments, and scalp care formulations.

Optimal performance: pH 5.0 – 7.0

Formulation Guidelines

Add to the water phase.

Can be pre-dispersed in glycerin before hydration to minimize clumping.

Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Best added during the cool-down phase when possible.
