Decyl glucoside

Decyl Glucoside is a gentle, non-ionic surfactant derived from natural sugar (glucose) and coconut fatty alcohols. Known for its mildness and biodegradability, it is ideal for sulfate-free and sensitive-skin formulations.

It provides gentle but effective cleansing with a soft, creamy lather, making it perfect for baby products, facial cleansers, shampoos, body washes, micellar waters, and cleansing gels.

Usage Rate

1% – 25% depending on product:

Baby wash: 3–10%

Facial cleanser: 3–8%

Body wash: 5–15%

Shampoo: 5–20%

Micellar water: 1–5%

As co-surfactant: 2–7%

pH Range

Naturally alkaline (pH ~11–12)

Final formula should be adjusted to pH 4.5 – 6.5
