Polyquaternium-7 (Liquid)

Polyquaternium-7 is a cationic (positively charged) water-soluble polymer commonly used in haircare and skincare formulations. It is a copolymer of acrylamide and diallyldimethylammonium chloride.

In cosmetics, it acts as a film-forming, conditioning, and anti-static agent. Because of its strong affinity to negatively charged surfaces (like hair and skin), it adheres well, leaving behind a smooth, soft feel without greasiness.

Compatible with both clear and opaque formulations.

⚖️ pH Stability Range

Stable in formulations with pH 4 – 7

Performs best in mildly acidic to neutral formulations.

🔄 Compatibility

Compatible with: Anionic, non-ionic, and amphoteric surfactants (does not cause precipitation).

Pairs well with humectants (glycerin, panthenol), proteins, silicones, and cationic emulsifiers.
