Isopropyl Myristate ( IPM )

Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) is a lightweight, fast-spreading emollient ester produced by combining isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid (a natural fatty acid derived from coconut or palm oil).

It is used extensively in skincare, haircare, and cosmetic formulations to create a smooth, non-greasy, and elegant skin feel. IPM improves the spreadability of creams, serums, and oils and helps active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin.

It also reduces the greasy residue left by heavy oils and butters, making products feel silky and fast-absorbing. Additionally, it acts as a mild solvent for oil-soluble actives and enhances the overall texture and performance of formulations.
