Olivem® 1000

Olivem® 1000 is a natural, PEG-free, olive-derived self-emulsifying wax designed for the formulation of elegant oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. Derived from olive oil fatty acids, it creates stable, luxurious creams and lotions with a smooth, silky skin feel.

Olivem® 1000 is highly valued by formulators for its ability to produce moisturizing emulsions with excellent spreadability while supporting the skin’s natural barrier. It is suitable for natural, organic, facial, body, baby care, and sensitive skin formulations.

This multifunctional emulsifier helps create rich yet non-greasy formulations and is compatible with a wide range of cosmetic oils, butters, active ingredients, and botanical extracts.

Formulation Guidelines

Add to the oil phase.

Heat oil and water phases separately to 70–75°C.

Combine phases with mixing and homogenization.

Continue mixing during cooling to achieve optimal viscosity and stability.

Can be combined with fatty alcohols and co-emulsifiers to modify texture.
