Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS rice)

Sodium Laureth Sulfate is a widely used anionic surfactant known for its excellent foaming and cleansing abilities. And suitable for formulating shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers that require rich lather and deep cleansing.

Usage Rate: 5% – 30%

(Typical: 10–15% in facial cleansers, up to 30% in shampoos and body washes)

pH Range: 5.0 – 7.5 (Can be adjusted with Citric Acid or Sodium Hydroxide)

Solubility: Water-soluble

Function:

Primary surfactant and cleansing agent

Produces high, stable foam and excellent lather

Removes dirt, oil, and impurities

Enhances viscosity when combined with salt or thickening agents

Cost-effective and commonly used in commercial cleansers

Compatibility:

Works well with Cocamidopropyl Betaine and thickening agents like Crothix and salt

Used in smbody washes, liquid soaps, and hand cleansers

Not recommended for ultra-sensitive or damaged skin (can be drying if used at high concentration)
